Pretty slow start, made to feel even slower because of the lack of proper amination of our Crow character. I wasn't not really sure what was happening because the animation did not convey whatever concepts you were trying to show. This was painful to watch.
I watched the video again and reread the dialogue. The dialogue is psuedo-philosophical/science/spiritual gibberish. Whatever you were trying to make the viewer understand is lost because the initial scenes without dialogue were too confusing and distracted me from getting immersed in your story. Better animation, pacing and dialogue would have gone a long way towards making this halfway decent. Don't be discouraged, learn from your mistakes and carry on.

This reminds me a bit of the book the Silmarillion. Tolkien talked about his world being ultimately composed of music. I would suggest you take a look, at least the wiki page, it might give you some ideas.

Transient-Purpose responds:

It's my first ever animation lol Also the dialogue is just for fun, it's inspired by Jorge Luis Borges who created different types of reality as art, not to say anything about real life, just fun with concepts. I'm dissapointed that you found the intro to be so slow. In my opinion (lol I'm patting myself on the back here) it completely set the stage for the idea that the world he's in is dream like, absurd, experimental... It starts with a single point in a void, and a reality is gradually created around it. With all that said, thanks for the review, I'll try to apply your advice if I decide to do another, although admittedly this took me about 3 years (with plenty of procrastination). All in all it's meant to be more visually stimulating and conceptually weird than anything. Made all the music myself too. Also I'll definitely check out Silmarillion, sounds like my kind of thing lol
