OTB - New Carissa

Share Collapse

The true story of the New Carissa's final days. I've been meaning to make a movie about this ship for a while as the actual story is just as ridiculous as the sort of things I usually animate.

I was originally going to make this for Pico Day, since the New Carissa originally went aground in 1999, the same year Tom made Pico's School, but didn't have time to have it ready by then. I figure this still works as a Clock Day movie as if you look closely enough, there's a metaphor in there somewhere.

After binging all the episodes that were released in the last few years and getting all caught up on OTB again, this still remains the best episode. Make more like this!

That was... pretty inspiring somehow!! An interesting story well-told.

It was a cool story and the animation is decent, but your voice is very monotone and it is presented in a dry manner, not dry in the sense that it seems professional but dry in the sense that it seems like you don't really care how the end product turns out. 3/5

Thanks for the review, I'll try to voice things more emphatically in the future.

wow, once again, you did a great job, sir!
this was an interesting story about an ''unsinkable ship'', something that was strange, cool, and quite interesting to observe.
also the last part, the final ''irony'' of the case, was truly great, i was very surprised with that!
(SPOILERS: the new carissa outlived some of the other ships that tried to destroy it... irony.)

as for the movie itself, its great! i liked the black and white style that you added in this movie, it made it look old-timey, and very atmospheric... nice!
the drawings were excellent as always, all of the ships were incredibly detailed and beautiful, and the city drawings of the houses and the sea were also very well drawn.
im glad that i was in this adventure once again.
thanks for that, you are great!

once again you created a great movie, with an interesting story, good visuals, alot of details, and cool narration.

this was a very good movie, and an awesome clockday movie as well!
you are a great artist and a good friend, keep up the good work!
