Probably not really a relevant animation to be uploaded to an international site of a animation celebrating a particular country's birthday, but this is just something I thought I should just upload it up since the original animation I did 8 years ago is also on newgrounds.

anyway, this is more of my attempt at revamping one of my old animations I've made 8 years ago to see how well I am able to revamp and adapt for this generation. It was fun reworking it and was able to put whatever animation skills and technics I learnt over the years into this project.

This is amazing. I've never been to Singapura but coming from Winnipeg (which is built on a flood plane and once upon the time was the coldest city of it's size in the world, (through we've lost that title to a city in Mongolia)) I can appreciate the art of poking fun at ones homeland or town.I like the rhythm and energy. I assume that the audio was recorded live given the way that it takes brakes for the laughter and frankly I loved listening to people laugh. I made it much more funny even if I didn't get half the jokes.
Just to say, I really thoroughly enjoyed the video, and I really liked that little addition of Phua Chu Kang in the list of contractors that go pok kai. (Yes, I actually understand all this; I once came from the other side of the Causeway and used to watch Phua Chu Kang episodes up the wazoo, and also had relatives in Singapore.) Lovely animation, keep up the good work. It's no wonder that matt-likes-swords likes your work; it's pretty neat.
Also, this may be a bit incendiary in the way of language but: for once, I actually agree with Singapore's historical reasoning that caused it to be expelled from Malaysia and become independent. The people behind Singapore's independence had the right idea, at least in hindsight. This sort of thinking wouldn't win me any fans (and would probably win me a jail term or worse if I were still in Malaysia, trust me!), but I think it's best to say what needs to be said.

Your animation is incredible. Sure it's not the best around and you've got a lot to learn. But as an animator and creator (Not talking about the song here) you have great potential.
Keep on working hard, we appreciate your effort and we want more.
