It's really just a one second loop of existing content. What do you expect? These loops would be fine in a game, but there's just not enough content here. The trees should illuminate a bit more with the shot. Some screen shaking might be nice too, to give the shot a bit of impact.

I love the game Starbound so I wanted to show my appreciation by making a small animation based on it.
The assets are 100% Chucklefish's property I simply animated them into this.
The song used is "Armed with death" from The Walking Dead game soundtrack, and the other sound effects are just royalty free sound effects.

Thank you for the comment, yeah I get what you mean, I didn't know I could post .gif files in art, so I probably should have posted this there, since this is pretty bare. I really like your idea of the screen shaking for impact, and I'm defiantly going to use that because it sounds sweet and easy to do. I'm not a real gun nut so I don't really understand how much a gun should flash, but I feel like thats just something I'll eventually get better at.
