TD-Where You're Going

Share Collapse

We're not always happy with where we are in life. We see ourselves as failures if we haven't become what we'd hoped for. We fear others criticize us as harshly as we do.
But you aren't your shitty job. You aren't a part-time warehouse job, it's just what you're doing for now, as long as you keep trying to improve.
You aren't 'where you are', you're 'where you're going'.

Replace every use of the words "Wal-Mart" with "Sonic Drive In", and you've pretty much described the last 3 years of my life, and probably the next year at least.

Great Video.

I really dig the art style and the style of the narrative. Been watching all these videos back-to-back for the past hour. Thoroughly enjoying myself. Thanks for these.

Haha, hah, heh...No but seriously I lived the same exact life for my four years in that Hell. Save I moved to Sporting Goods after Lawn and Garden where had to run six departments by myself during evening shifts. Couple that with the inept Store Manager who once stated after I complained about leaving the gun counter so much, "This is a shopping cart store, customers don't expect you to help them." Phew that was a fun one, glad I got fired for a two-minute meal infraction or I might still be working there out of comfort. Oh and I will note I do not spend money there if I can help it after they literally doctored signed paperwork to dock me $2/hour claiming it was a shift differential I lost while transferring positions.

As for the animation, the art is clean and animation simplistic, but it conveys the store effectively. Really helped hammer all I felt after and during the same experience. Even without that I think the message is pretty clear.

Damn man that was pretty damn inspirational! Loved it keep up the good work!
