Okay... Even as a joke (and assuming against the whole gang/criminal activity/violence associated with it) you have a theme to work with. Thereby, with even a tiny bit of research, there should be a plethora (an obscene amount) of material to work with.
You have other potential issues, but those are just as equally arguable as "style difference" so I'm not about to beat you up for choppy animating and stuff... I'll reference "Technical Dave" as a series you might check out (in case you haven't already) and you can see how it can work for you.
As an artist (in my opinion and experience) when someone sees your work, they should either love it or hate it. You don't really achieve anything like that. It's just a little... "drab" maybe, or possibly "vanilla" would be the better term. You've picked a rough and rugged subject matter to deal with. It's widely viewed as a scourge around the world, and whether or not you agree with the ideal, you should present your views. Be brave, because (and I've posted this same line countless times before) "Art is not for the faint of heart"...
There will always be haters out there. I'm just offering a little "cultivating" advice to help you add to your next work. Be a little more stark and even snarky about it. Make waves... Hell, even make a little trouble.
You risk being forgotten shortly if you don't.
