FAT DOG

We were recently approached to design the logo and buisness card for a new "Pet Sitting" company.

After many interations of dogs, cats, and other such animals human beings tend to keep as domesticated companions, the company decided to go with another studio's design. ..

An Owl.

Yes, an owl. On a tree branch. An owl...

I guess people CAN/DO purchase and care for their own personal owls, but (and correct me if I'm wrong here) when I think of "pets", a fu*%ing owl is probably the second to last creature I would picture. (The Octopus wins the cake on that one, naturally).

Anyway, after days of crafting multitudes of illustrations portraying "pets", we had a few designs that stuck out to us personally.

This is one of them. This little guy we thought deserved his own short to express to the world what his daily struggles would entail.

Next time we'll have him eat an owl. On a branch. Preferably someone's pet.

lol, he reminds me of Garfield a bit... bit odd he'd ever be able to get that round off such eh unappealing food! Was a fun watch though, and nice story about that Owl! Real story? No potential problems with clients maybe reading the description? If it does make an animation: looking forward to it!

JellowStudios responds:

Unappealing food to us. To this guy, that is a pile of sweet, sweet, meats and gravy.

Regarding the owl story; that is a true story. The client, however, has since agreed with our thoughts on said buisness card and appreaciated our candor. We like to think that our humor and honesty are the traits that pull our team above (in some clients opinions) the competition. Open, honest customer service. Some like it, others might not.

As always, we appreciate YOUR candor and find ourselves awaiting your feedback with every new project. Thanks Cyberdevil!

What a fatty.
