Fireman George

My grandfather was former NYFD and has seen some shit. He's one hell of a man and I wanted to make a special animation for him since he loves to play guitar and talk about his old firefighting stories. I hope you guys appreciate this short I made for him!

Gotta love that flappy mustache. XD It's an oddly peaceful animation, was my first impression after the rescue, but as it's revealed it's a tribute to a certain person that all makes sense, and makes it feel all the more honorable as well. I like the music, I like the ambient; harmless comedy of it all, and how he just flies off into the sunlit skies at the end there... it's nice!

Thanks Cyberdevil, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed this little toon for my grandfather! Cheers!

waw i like the music and the simplistic art style. it's refreshing to see a clean animation that don't have blood and gross stuff and video game parodies. this short gave me a fuzzy feeling inside and mad
me smile great job.

zvch3 responds:

Hey thanks a lot for the review! I'm super excited to see that you enjoyed this and that you too were able to see past it not just being another game parody (even though those are fucking fantastic). I wanted to bring something different to the table with these past two movies and I'm glad they were brought in with open arms. It's reviews like this one that really inspire me and make me glad that I'm part of this community!

Thanks doobie, I'm honored you enjoyed this little film!

Since you made this for your grandpa I guess it's up to him to judge it ;)

I enjoyed it. It has a funny, light tune to it and it's easy to notice for the viewer that you put some love in the animation. One question: Is this an instrumental guitar version of "Nothing else matters"? Fits wonderful to the flashmovie!

zvch3 responds:

He loved it! Thanks for the curiousity. To address your question, it's "Nights in white Satin" the acoustic instrumental! I'm glad you enjoyed this piece as a whole! Much love, - Campbell

Hey man, this was a really nice short. I liked the smooth animation, and the overall tone. Audio was a little bleh but you can fix that with either better gear or softer speaking with post-production sound editing.

My dad, grandad and great grandad were volunteer firefighters (Rural QLD Fire Response, Australia), so from one child of a firefighter to a grandchild of one, a big thanks, and a salute to your hero Pop :)

Nice one mate, look forward to your future submissions.

zvch3 responds:

Hey thanks for the awesome review! Send your guardians a salute from me as I will do the same for you! I'm happy that you enjoyed this short and were able to relate to it! You da man
