It has been a very big disappointment. This project turned out to be way to complicated... Pretty much all scenes got scrapped, because it was just too hard for me... Maybe I can redo this video later... But I'm not so sure... It might have been a bad idea to begin with...
There is not even a point to this :(...

Review: The arts not to bad, the story line is null, the sound needs work (the 2 monkeys voices were ok, but I couldn't understand the "gods"), the animation was choppy. But since you admit that there's no point to this then it has no place on newgrounds.

Simius responds:

I wanted feedback. So I could improve...
You're a dick...
Edit: also they're apes (or mruei), not monkeys...

seems promising, despite it being slightly confusing and mysterious.
maybe this will be good.
what will happen in the next episode?
i suggest you do a couple more episodes, and if its received well, keep making movies for this.
if they do not like the next episodes, then wrap it up, witha logical ending.

it was good tho, imo.

Simius responds:

Thanks! I like hearing that somebody thinks this should get more episodes. I wanted to make a series called "birth of evil" and this was more or less its pilot. If this would turn out all right I would make it. But it didn't, it's crap. So there won't be a next episode. At least not very soon...

This piece is very bizaare and unsettling. It isn't the artwork, which is not anything remarkable, but the concept and this milli-second story that I found arresting and compelling in a really disturbing way. The house looks like a toxic waste shed -creepy and the fate of the protagonist was a jolt. Watched it twice, actually.
The sound volume could have been louder, that would be welcomed in future work. And as for art, practice -even masters practiced for years.

Despite your comments of self-doubt and dissatisfaction with your result, I think there's merit here. The concept and story line were not a bad idea, in fact, telling a story is the point of all media, and you did just that.

It's hard to produce art, no matter what medium an artist chooses (I rent rubbish skips for my own cast-offs), but that's the process, create, discard, create, discard, create, rework, and ahh, finally something that satisfies. And then begin all over again.

Do that. Begin again with something fresh that inspires you; never mind me and what I think :) Just create for yourself and see where it takes you.

Simius responds:

Thank you!
you actually put effort in your review! I'll overthink your thoughts! :)

Animation was okay, I suppose. The audio after the tombstone broke in half, was really really quiet even with the sound turned all the way up, so I had no idea what the hell you were saying. I can't say I really enjoyed it, but it definitely had some potential.

Simius responds:

Audio after the Grave collapsing:
Tek: "After his death his grave first collapsed and then dissolved. Some say this was because the gods didn't agree to his death."
Erritacks: "Oh. You foolish apes! Never will any intelligence get control. Your empire will be destroyed and it will vanish completely. "
Yeah it might not have been loud enough...
