No War's Land

The year is 1914, World War One has been going on for less then a year. Neither side has been able get a clear advantage over the other. Not being sure when the war would be over, both sides agree to stop fighting for one night on Christmas.

It would seem for a moment that the Great War could end right there. But not all goes according to plan when the soldiers are ordered to continue the war.

Originally a two page comic, the story is presented in a motion comic video format.

You know, I liked it. This part of history isn't well known, so kudos to you. The animation was awesome, the way it was presented was great. But the voice actor(s) didn't come across. They were annoyingly distracting. All else was good though, it would be cool if you could leave text in focus when it is being said.

Pity the gentlemen like attitude got taken out of war. Let the commanders settle things with a duel and spare everyone else.

very nice little flash, neatly animated and you seem to be well versed in the history of the christmass truce in 1914, i particularly enjoyed the smaller details like the rats, but there are some things lacking like conditions in the trenches. how utterly stuck they where. but those are perhaps for the better (pace) there is one thing lacking though... THE NETHERLANDS. The netherlands (aka Holland) was neutral during the WWI but not non-existant. in the first drawing you picture france, luxemburg and germany more or less correctly but Belgium was by that time allready independant since +- 85 years.

An inspiring story! The movement effect in the comic was pretty cool, snowfall and everything, and the slow camera panning heightened the sense of action a bit. Appreciate all the different voice acts for the characters, though some felt a bit off, like Adolt and that first Capt. Anyway, nice work! Much more fun watching a comic than reading it. :)
