This is a 5-minute promo trailer for my independent animated feature film “When Black Birds Fly”. I animated it completely by myself over the past two years or so. I financed it out of pocket (although with some help from Ruby LaRocca) without the aid of kickstarter, indiegogo or any other social networking illuminati reptilian prostitution ring. I don’t have rich parents or fancy big money investors. It’s not a remake, throw-back, homage, slasher, zombie, vampire or any other stereotypical horror movie filler crap designed to try and trick you into renting/buying it from whatever corporate sleaze fuck merchant cunt, who doesn’t give a fuck about art or filmmaking. It’s a completely original one of a kind experience that you won’t find anywhere else, and because of that, it’s not going to be for everyone and I accept those consequences!

I am going solo on this one and don’t have any sort of distribution in place just yet. I’m about 85% done with the film, mostly just editing/sound mixing and cleaning up bad animation at this point. I should be done by the end of the year BUT I’m really struggling to pay the bills. I live alone in a small shit sack in the middle of woods PA in an old age community (no I’m not eldery, though I’m grumpy like I am) and find inventive ways to pay the bills every month, but the older I get the harder it gets to invent ways to find money to do this shit every day! So if you enjoy this kind of balls-to-wall psychotic freak out animation, then please, please, PLEASE consider either buying something from my store or just donating if you’re a kind god-loving/fearing/hating/punching soul! A slightly longer version of this trailer first premiered at Slaughter In Syracuse put on by Beneath The Underground & Vultra Video in May 2014, I cut it down to 5 minutes to try and make it easier to watch. Rough Plot outline:

Heaven is a beautiful, clean suburban paradise. Every block is populated by lush trees and lovely row homes. People are free to roam and do whatever they please, as long as they follow one simple rule: DO NOT communicate with “The Evil One” that dwells on the other side of a giant wall that circles the town, which is under 24 hour surveillance by a team of soldiers wearing gas masks. The ruler of the town is a man named Caine, who plasters images of himself all around, insisting that his citizens trust and love him. A small child becomes obsessed with the seemingly increasing flocks of black birds that populate the town. One day after chasing one he discovers a talking kitten with a broken leg, who begs Marius and his classmate Eden to crawl through a hole in the wall to help her. The kids decide to do it and she repays them by introducing them to a brightly colored fruit that grows wildly on the other side of the wall. After consuming it the kitten brings them to meet the Evil One, who attempts to teach them the forbidden knowledge that Caine is hiding from them all.
