This is a decent fighting game, especially for a first try. The suggestions that have already been given are valid, but there are some other things that you could add once you start fine tuning. I like the humor in the instructions and script, but more can be done with that. If this is a "debate" maybe instead of punch and kick, point and counterpoint, etc. It would also be great to have win animations and AI. Also, extra characters. I'd say Washington, Taft, GWB, and Nixon. In any case, I think there's a good bit of a decent fighter already in here. Just needs some more elements and a little polishing.

No sound effects. Poor music. Only 2 player. Bit suspect on the hit locations (I can knockout Lincoln by punching the top of his hat. Is his head hat-shaped?) When the game is paused, it cannot be unpaused. It helps if you mention the controls rather than have me hit every key.

you also advertise your game as if it's like street fighter but there is no special moves and the game is 4 button, not six (like SF). Also two boring characters that do not have variety in playstyle and there is no tech , no meta game, and no fun. Art for the characters look alright but that static background is boring.

This game isn't bad but it isn't very good either,
it lacks background animation , maps , characters.
and has no A.I. at all so if you plan playing alone to bad,
but the controls are tolerable and the character animation and style is pretty nice,
The music is alright i guess but it doesn't fit the style of game.

Freedom Fighters does seem like a good game to play with a friend if you nothing better to do.

The game's too bland and lacks characters. You can't even pick who you want to play and they both have the same moves.
