This game was pretty nice, my score didn't get saved, but ah well.

The graphics are extremely simple, the walls are plain, but I appreciate the different colors of the walls. The ship is semi-decent, but my downfall is that either my ship is big, or the walls are small, because it sometimes just fits, as well as it sometimes felt too long, because I'd hit a wall when I felt like that if I were a little bit shorter, I would've made it.

The lack of music doesn't make me feel like I need to rush, or that I should be on edge, so I would add some fast paced music as that generally fits this kind of genre (though completely up to you). There needs to be sound effects as well, like, if you hit a wall, an alarm should go off to show the player that they're hit but not dead. And upon death, maybe an explosion and the ship explodes would be nice.

The animation is fluid, though always in constant movement, which is sometimes fun, sometimes annoying. I lined up the wall perfectly sometimes, but went careening towards the wall other times, which I understand is the point of the game, which is why I make this suggestion.

Have a power-up that causes the ship to fly straight when held, and you have to collect or pass so many walls without hitting it in order to fill the meter/button. I don't know whether you would be able to add that, or whether you would feel comfortable adding it, but I feel it would help the player, and make them want to aim towards achieving gaining the power-up.

The gameplay isn't original, but it was executed pretty well. I believe that a bit of tweaking could make this a decent game (4/5) but it currently sits at (2.5/5) for me.

Overall, well done.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm not sure why the score didn't get saved since it works for other people.
The problem with the ship is that its actual hitbox shape is a square. While I did make it so only the tip counts vertically, horizontally it's still a square. This is due to the collision function seeing transparent parts as part of the ship itself. I can't fix it using the in-built functions, but when I make the sequel, I will make my own detection system.
I'll try to see what I can do about the music in the next one.
Originally, the rocket would stop on click and continued on next click, but some friends suggested that I make it just change direction.
I really like the power-up idea. It will be in the next one, along with a select system for different power-ups or upgrade system. (if you'd like one).
As for being original, I tried that, but the world "punched me in the face" because of that, so it didn't work out.
Tweaking this game would be as time-consuming as making a sequel to it. The difference is that if I start a new one, it would be optimized better.

Good for a beginning game. It's tough to tell what is considered a safe pathway though. Still a very basic game.

CristianNic responds:

Thank you! I understand perfectly what you mean, it gave me a lot of trouble to make it as "precise" as it is now. The default collision test function inside flash is not so great (or I don't know how to use it properly) so next time I make this kind of game, I'll make my own.

Not Too Bad Man......I Mean.....It'd Take Me a While to Make a Decent Flash Game, but this is Fine.....I Mean, in No Way is it Better than Games Like LPV or Dungeons and Morons.....But it's Pretty Freaking Good for a Generic Dodging Blocks Game......I Can't Blam it..... :)

CristianNic responds:

Thank you!

This game isn't terrible, but it could do with some animation, some music, and some better collision mechanics.

CristianNic responds:

Thank you for the feedback! I already plan to make another one that has animations and found a better way to detect collisions than the in-built function. Music might be a problem, but I'll see what I can do.
