The sad sad sad sad truth
This took way longer than it should have, though honestly if I subtract the days where I did little to no work on it, it probably took about 2 weeks. And to think I was actually going to make the animation on this a bit more limited and be able to release 3 things this month...
Feel free to interpret this animation however you wish. I won't say what the point is unless you actually can't figure it out :p.
Feedback is appreciated, but most of all enjoy!
The sad sad sad sad truth
WTF, how do you know about sack boy?
I've played Little Big Planet :p
I'll assume you at least liked this based on your score ;3
Regarding the message, I wholeheartedly agree with it, and it's honestly frustrating that original content doesn't get as much recognition as parodies do. Unfortunately, it's much easier to leech off of already-popular brands and names, and it's easier to generate clicks that way.
The color scheme is appealing to the eye and exudes a bit of a coffee-shop vibe. There are several movements and actions that are easy to miss if you don't pay attention to them. The director turning his chair and Frogman opening the door, in particular, were well-animated. It took me a few replays before I picked up on the subtle character movements you animated. You did a stellar job making the characters "act," and the characters' acting really enhanced this.
I liked it! Animation could be more clean though, and when frogman screams i think it could have been executed more like a scream, rather than someone trying to scream but they don't wanna be to loud.
I've still got a ways to go with my animation quality, but I'm still working at it and trying to improve. I've also been trying to develop my style more lately, and that definitely happened a lot in this short, so I should get better some time in the future :p
And we'll make more of an effort to make sure screams sound more accurate next time.
Thanks for the review!
who the fuck is frog man :)
An original character, obviously :p
More specifically, he's a character I created a decade ago for a series of comics which was never completed. More recently he's been in animated shorts and since 2010 he's starred in his own animated series.
