Green Ham and Eggs

A parody I made of Dr. Seuss's "Green Eggs and Ham." In it, Sam-I-Am will stop at nothing to shove his food down his victim's throat no matter how many times the person politely explains that he doesn't want to try Sam-I-Am's green ham and eggs.

The art is, as some have already mentioned, not the most eye-poppingly Disney-esque (MS Paint-ish, in fact) -- but the writing in this short way more than makes up for it.

It's funny, because, sure, the message is pretty innocent and well-meaning enough, especially for kids who probably wouldn't eat something just because they were afraid to try it. But, as an adult, there is SO MUCH Fridge Logic about outright stalking someone and pressuring them to eat a certain foodstuff (let alone the quality of said foodstuff), even in a seemingly non-threatening way (which, actually, falls right under some seriously messed up not-quite-passive-aggression). Some might call it childhood-ruining, but I say, kudos on nicely lampshading some unfortunately Unfortunate Implications.

Best of luck with all your future projects! And again, major congrats on this one. Keep up the great work.

Thank you so much for this review, it means a lot to me! I definitely agree with you that my animation needs a lot of work, but I'm really glad that the writing made up for it!
You got exactly the right message out of it that I was going for, and I'm glad that you understood some of the problematic implications of the story that I tried to portray in this cartoon. Again, thank you so much for the thoughtful review! :)

lol

ok, good movie, with good animation, good drawings, and overall a creepy parody of dr.seuss work.
also the d*ck-shaped hair of the who-girl, was a clever touch, along with the book that she was reading....

nice work.
sometimes disturbing, but good.

dogsinthecathouse responds:

Thanks! That was what I was going for! :)
Although interesting you assumed the other person was a who-girl, I intended the character to be the other character in the original "Green Eggs and Ham" story, and I intended it to be a hat on the character's head rather than hair. But I suppose the gender and hair/hat of the character doesn't really matter in the end! :P

If this is your first submission not bad an congrats......the art could use some work an you seem to have the voices down pretty good but the jokes where to drawn out and the humor was dry.....only thing that made me chuckle was Sam-I-Am mouth raping his victim lol other then that keep up the good work
