Emprise of Stratus: Demo

Author Comments

This game is based loosely on a book my brother and I started writing when we were kids. Stratus went off on some adventures and won the day, blah blah blah. A side character, the dreamweaver, was an unsung hero in the story. Most fear him and the rest just think he is crazy. The dreamweaver never sleeps because what he dreams becomes reality.

Space bar puts you to sleep as the dreamweaver and activates your ability as a dream.
Jackal - Lunges forward
Blob - Teleports
Cat - Feline frenzy (need to hold down on space)

Well this was notbad I like the idea here seemed a tad bit buggy some parts of this are really smooth but I could see you improving on some sleeker design of things and more interactivity but besides that this was a solid game with some room to fix

Could be improved a sleeker design to start

I guess I was motivated to play a little. This still had nothing going for it. The graphics were very low quality. I guess I didn't try my cat abilities much. It's just a game with really slow play. The music wasn't bad at least.

There just needed to be a better design. This jam was pretty cool. I just wished there was more to look at. I didn't even know much about how I died. I wish I could jump higher.

A good start, i bit buggy though. Your special powers dont seen to respond in any set fashion, more just do what it wants when you hit space. A few other bugs too with their movement, often just floating to the top of the screen and staying there.

ceosol responds:

Thanks :)

I tried my best to iron things out. With only 4 days to work on it for the jam, I had to cut my losses.

no it sucks

ceosol responds:

Thank you for the feedback. If you could give me any more focused feedback, I would greatly appreciate it. I am still trying to learn game development.
