Hong Kong, where I live

Share Collapse

I use a humor but sad way to explain an abnormal construction phenonmenon in Hong Kong. At the first stage, you can see there are no any swelling (building) on the character's head (land). The brown head represents soil; bronze represents bronze; gold represents gold. After the hammer (government) hits the head, some swellings grow. When there are more and more swellings, the head turns in colour (material) to represent the value of HK land increases. Finally, the head which is full of swelling turns gold, representing that HK land is full of buildings and its land price is as valuable as gold. The character feels sad and helpless. He shows what the citizens feel about where they live.
Not only this character looks abnormal, but the appearance of Hong Kong is also abnormal.
