nice graphic and fluid movemente, but sorry gameplay is silmpy frustrating

This game feels like it has a lot of potential, but it falls short in a few ways.
Graphics:
Each segment of the graphics taken alone is wonderful, but something doesn't click between the background and the foreground. It also looks like you could have added a few more layers for parallax scrolling, which would have made the world seem a little fuller. One thing that bothers me is that when you are entering the second area, it suddenly appears on one side of the screen, before scrolling to cover the whole screen. Things like that pull me right out of the game.
Gameplay:
Gameplay is very good, but for me it's a little bit slow, maybe 20% faster would be perfect. It is also very hard to tell exactly where you can run. Sometimes their are areas that are harder to access than others, and with no obvious benefit of time or score they feel pointless and I neglect them. I would also rather the enemies remove some sort of health or kill you completely than have them send you tumbling like they do now. It's very frustrating and it feels like it's the game's fault that you fell, even if it really isn't.
It's still very fun and enjoyable, and I will go and play some more right now.
