Made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 29, with the theme "Beneath the Surface".
Instructions
Arrow Keys or WASD - move and point drill
Return gold to your king, you can only carry so much
Hold up while on ceiling to hang there
Do not fall to far or get killed
Purchase items to progress quicker
Obviously there are some things missing because the game was made in only 48 hours. There are many challenges and items I would have liked to add if I had time.

What do the two upgrades even do? I would guess the gold upgrade should increase max gold carrying capacity but it doesn't appear to. I would guess the drill upgrade should either increase drill dig speed or strength (example can now drill boulders/etc) but it doesn't appear to do either.
Very annoying sound effect going on all the time too. Why?
Aside from these problems it's a decent game not unlike other games similar to this.
You're right, the gold upgrade does let you carry more gold and the drill upgrade lets you drill faster. You might not have noticed the drill speed because as you dig down further, the blocks take longer to mine, so the increased speed of better drill and decreased speed of lower rocks cancelled each other out.
The really annoying sound was supposed to the sound of the drill...
really like the concept. The way shop works is a bit of a mistery to me. Mute button would be nice.
