The Holy Inquisition

The Holy Inquisition is my imaginary attempt to interview the Pope and ask him some of the hard questions that make it impossible for me to be a Christian. All of the Pope’s replies were taken from actual Christian forums and websites. The main inspiration came from several debates I have watched on YouTube between apologists like Dr. William Lane Craig and atheists like Richard Dawkins or the late Christopher Hitchens.

Really?

I thought it would be a funny little game. Instead it's quite bigott and weird and unscientific. Sorry, but you won't get any points from me for promoting such a worldview.

What worldview am I promoting?

I think that this was a creative work and a lot of the questions posed by Satan are relative to the human struggle and questioning of Faith. I appreciate that this game wasn't atheist propaganda and that it did lend credit to both believers and agnostics. Good job!

In terms of game-wise, it's nothing special, barely any animation and the art style is not spectacular, but fitting. But this is obviously not what this game is about.
There were some very powerful and drilling questions in there which are usually answered particularly well in my opinion.
I personally doubt it will make many, if any people change their beliefs, but it is definitely some nice food for thought.
The music is really nice! I've been listening to it for possibly far too long now, and the music actually adds to the feeling that the game gave me.

All in all, Well done on making a game which criticizes Christianity in a neutral and fair manner. (And by that I don't necessarily mean negatively criticizing, just looking at it critically)

Hi Kamica, I chose that song because is dark but sort of cartoonish in a way. I almost didn’t use it because I thought people would find it to be too weird. You don’t know how much it pleases me to hear that you and some other players have liked the piece by Béla Bartók!

I’m also glad that the Newgrounds community in general has been so receptive and have actually understood that, as you said, I wanted to be neutral. I wasn’t trying to offend anybody, I merely wanted to put out there some tough questions that Christians have to answer if they are serious about their faith. I published this game in Kongregate about a month ago, and a lot of people freaked out and sent me angry messages.

i have always been an athiest and i thought that this was amazing of course i still dont believe in spiritual power but this made me more sypathetic towards ppl who do alot of the popes arguments were really solid expecailly compared to the usual "fuk u i love jesus" i usually hear

finally thank you so much for listing your sources im going to look into them 5/5 excellent
