oh wow, this was interesting, and especially when combining animation with liveaction!!!
This is a short story told by Jonathan Woolley for the documentary Fable: The Lost Art of the Spoken Word. A part animated, part live footage documentary, that explores the place that aural storytelling has in today's society.

know this is a submission from 8 years ago, but I noticed one of the "mud people" had a staff and hair and beard that are very similar to the live action narrator, and I could not help wondering if it was intentional or not. Checked the documentary to see if it could reveal an answer without finding it. Probably so far back you don't remember, but I thought I might as well ask.
Yep it's intentional, just a little nod to the narrator :)
Interesting as anything I def enjoyed the voice acting and animation too as well
Wow,
I almost forgot the nostalgia of old-fashioned storytelling.
The live footage of the narrator actually made quite the inspirational touch.
That was...pretty interesting :) The idea with the live footage narrator was really neat and it perfectly goes with the story and animation. So keep it up :)
Thankyou! There's one more to come like this in around a months time hopefully, so I'm glad you like it!
