Everyone's bashing this because there's "no point" to this game. I think that is the point. It's just a fun little thing. I liked it!
This is my final project done for RISD's Electric Book class. I love the idea of "free play" games that allow you to interact with the environment at your own pace.
I'm very new to coding in Flash, so there are a few hangups:
- The fireflies following the cursor aren't supposed to remain onscreen when you restart the game, and neither is the third movable firefly.
- The moon and stars were originally going to be behind the landscape, but if an object is even slightly touching a layer in front of it, it will refuse to move. Now you can click and drag them anywhere on screen.
It needs a lot of work but I got some great ideas from my teachers in order to improve this in the future once I get more practice in coding.

I have clicked, and moved around stuff and nothing is happening. The music is great, and the graphics are very nice but I do not get the point of this.
i don't get it.
good :D
I wouldn't consider this a game. But more of a system. A pretty good system though. You called it a puzzle though, so I spent a good 30 minutes or so playing around with the stars to create some coherent message to possibly go to a new stage.
There are a few things that involve making a game good.
The first is meaning
you must give the concept meaning to the player. This Is meaningful play. Why am I playing? Why should I keep playing. What's my goal and why should I accept it.
Second is Rules.
What defines this activity as the activity. What jurisdictions decide what I can't do here. Rules also give meaning to play.
Third is Reward.
The process of playing should reward the player in one way or another. No matter how simple the concept of being awarded for short time goals goes along way.
Obviously I'm not the best at making games, but no matter what you're doing I think those concepts should be in the back of your head.
