Reality Bytes Ep1: Flying

Share Collapse

A new series comparing video games to reality! In this edition we look at the stark contrast between flying in real life, to flying in a virtual wonderland. Enjoy!

All animation/drawing/music/voices/editing done by me. Some sound effects from the good people at freesound.org. Also disregard Slippy at the end and become a fan! Clicking that box does nothing outside of youtube :D

Also the colors seem to fade in my videos when I upload here. If anyone can tell me why that might happen that would be super appreciated.

Yeah, hmm... not sure I see the similarities in the making a boat fly and a plane flying into the window? Or the eating the sandwich and doing loops? Or a few of those other comparissons... or is this really about animated comparisons? Looks more like people in random situations dreaming how a game world would be instead. Fun watch though!

I'd permanently move to gameality if I could, if only stupid reality didn't prevent me from doing so.

it would be better
if you make story based on this

Moral: Video-games are better than the real life.

I really enjoyed the presentation and theme for this flash, but I think there are some things that could use some improvement.
Some of the animation didn't seem as polished as the rest, as well as some parts of the audio.
Also, I think it the humor gets lost about halfway through due to repetition. It would be a lot funnier if there were more themes packed into one episode rather than the same one with a bunch of different scenes.
Other than that, I think you're onto something with this series.
Keep up the good work, and I'll be on the lookout for the next one!

WordWizard64 responds:

Thanks a lot for taking the time! I originally wanted it to have more of a "vine" feel, with maybe one quick scene and that's it. But then the ideas kept coming, so i just kept adding to it. I might make the next one a series of short, different themes like you said. That might make it a bit more engaging.
