i enjoy a ninja tale here and there, though i am afraid this game could not hold my attention. the concept of using different ninjas that have different skills is fine enough, but the controls were not the most fluid. still, reminiscent of the shinobi series so decent stuff.
Cool idea for a game, but the controls are shitty for example jump doesent work sometimes and my player kept running and i had to refresh the game to get it to stop, the 2nd thing occurs quite often. Also the clipping is pretty bad for enemies and hazards. I liked the artwork and the level layouts though.
It is a sin that I even played it trough out of pure dimwittedness. The colisionrate with wich the boss is hitting you is ridiculous. Combs hurt you when you touch them even if they were not exploded yet AND you did not realy touch them. The ropeweapon of the boss does also not really need you to touch it. This should be clearly refined.
A shame for ninjahood. The two things I give you is that in the last sector there were some levels worth the playing and that you need to theoretisize against the boss.
This is a pretty cool ninja based flash game.
It's almost exactly like Shinobi for the Game Gear way back in the day, where you could be the same choice of ninjas who do have different skills and weapons etc.
I'm pretty sure that's where you got the idea to do this, but I'm glad you did because this was fun to play and reminisce about the games of old.
Keep up the good work!
The idea is great, not just the Ninjas but the different colors that let you perform different actions. The fact that they all look alike doesn't bother much, or that there's actually no stealth involved even though they are ninjas (some kind of hide-in-the-shadows-and-wait-while-foes-past finesse would've been pretty neat). The levels are varied and fun, though I imagine you'd have to play a large amount of times to actually complete the game without a single death. It's a challenge. I like the background animation, the way the weather livens up each level, and the enemies are never still (on some checkpoints you start with one just beside you though, would be nice if checkpoints were safe zones). Keep it going!
