I was sticking around with Flash 8 for years and used ActionScript 2, so I wanted to try ActionScript 3 and noticed, that there is not as much difference as I thought. So here is my first work I've done on Flash cs5.5. More to come soon. :)
Ok, i couldn't get my guy to move around with the arrow keys, or attack with the space bar, or sprint with the shift key due to not being able to move. SOOOOOOOOO, I have to give this what I experienced and put it really low due to unresponsive controls.

There's a lot that can be done with this! Art, Music, Sound Effects etc~ But at the moment it's blank and isn't really fun because of it. But it has great potential!~

Not bad for a first attempt. You will need more than 1 enemy type to keep the game going and you will need a better sword animation.
