I'm glad I'm not alone in the sentiment that the controls are simply unplayable. I couldn't beat the first level, and I'm halfway decent at drifting based racing games.

Drifters, where it's not just about your ability to race but how well you can drift the corners and keep control of the car. Do you have the patience and skill to become the ultimate drifting champion, through 5 action packed 3D levels. Take on other racers competing for the same cup and the same glory, but remember only one of you can take it. So leave them in the dust and prove you really are the best out there.

It would be unfair to compare a flash game to Gran Turismo, but the controls are just unplayable. Pole Position on Atari 2600 has better physics than this.
Terrible play. The car is uncontrollable at best - pivoting randomly at a point somewhere behind the car and off into space.
Tips for improvement:
Make the car pivot around it's centre of gravity which is usually a bit rear to the engine, not 3 feet behind the rear bumper
Include different view options: for a lot of players the 3rd person spongy view is disorienting, you can't tell from the background which direction the car is pointing
Really really really and I mean REALLY floaty horrible controls also no WASD
was funny going backwards, cars do not destroy though
