I was going to say to blam this when i saw this at first, but then i got further in the game and read the author comments. So let's keep this game.
Not bad, the graphics could have been better but it worked smoothly great retro feel about it to.
The concept, graphics, sound effects, and gameplay are all decent and I enjoyed playing it, but there are a number of problems.
First, I couldn't figure out the purpose of the money power-ups, as there isn't any shop. Second, there were no checkpoints within the levels - I initially assumed that the red fuel pads would function as checkpoints, but found that you're forced to replay the whole level from the beginning if you lose a life. This can get grating, especially as the levels get longer. Finally, there's something that I suspect is a bug: if I get a Game Over, then I resume the game on the same level; but the next time I lose a life, I'm sent back to the first level.
Overall, it has potential, but it could use a bit more polish.
