Another day, another annoyance. Narcure the Shadow Mage has picked a fight with Millie and won't go away until he gets it. Slaughter your way through the most dangerous parts of Terna Island to shut that asshole up.
Tips:
-Buy cosmetics in the Items panel (mouse over "Options") with coins you collect
-Pause with "P"
-You can rebind keys to whatever the hell crazy layout you want
-Jump while running up slopes to jump super-high
-Scaling the game may hurt performance
I LOVE YOUR SHIT DUDE
I like Millie 7 and the last Millie game, but it's harder than Millie 6. :)
A really fun, but really hard game. I got used to it after playing it for at least an hour or 2.
Also when Millie dies, she sounds like she had a massive orgasm.
The game is pretty challenging yet fun, nice aesthetics style and the platforming is actually pretty smooth, reminds me of some of the sonic games at times. However one of the few problems i've encountered, yet is the most game-breaking for me, are the dash attacks. I didn't even bother beating the second boss solely because every other time i tried to attack her i'd just end up activating a dash attack for some reason and ram into her then take damage from contact.
From what I understand, simply holding a left/right arrow key and hitting attack a few times triggers the dash, which makes it way too easy to accidentally trigger for how much mashing is needed for bosses (vulnerable times aren't too long, which is actually good design) and how insensitive the hitbox is for the particular attack (when the boss is running away from me, my accidental dashes allow me to bounce back, but when she's even just standing there a dash will result in ME taking damage instead). It would have saved me a LOT of frustration if the dash attack was triggered by DOUBLE TAPPING left/right and attacking instead of just being part of a combo while holding an arrow key.
Aside from that there weren't that many problems I could see, though I didn't exactly get too far into the game before the accidental dash deaths frustrated me too much. Admittedly I could just wait for the second boss to stop and summon those spirit slimes before mashing, which would allow me to attack without really touching the arrow keys, but that's just boring for me when I actually could hit her reliably throughout the fight (if it wasn't for the accidental dashes).
Maybe I'll try again some other time, I dunno. In conclusion however, nice little action platformer with nice aesthetics and smooth animations and platforming, but the attacking controls need work, at least for the dash attacks.
Millie does a dash attack instead of a regular attack when she's been running for about a second.
If you Google "Millie Megavolte 7 HD download" you can find the demo for the HD remake. It fixes a lot of problems and changes the dash attack so it's charged instead of automatic. Plus it looks a lot better, too.
This game is fun and challenging game. The bosses are no cake walk and the levels are tough, but once you practice and master them it a very fun adventure. Overall a good game I give it a 4.5 out of 5. Keep up the great work.
