This is an Alpha. Only submit completed games.
This is just a basic version of an uncompleted RPG game. Many features haven't been added yet.
The game's been in development for 17 months by four different developers: Shadowgrail, DannyDaNinja, Omazing and Darkscanner.
All the music in this game is credited to Samulis Augustus (I'll add links to all these people's names soon)
FPS (Frames per second) has been enabled for this alpha, if you experience really low fps tell us when and why.
We uploaded this alpha for feedback so leave a comment if you have any advice, we just might use it ;)

is it out or...?
really hope it is
17 months of development? I really don't see where that time was spent on. And this game has the most generic title I've ever seen. I realize its in alpha but unless you plan on changing the title and redoing the control scheme then I don't see it getting much better. I mean using both sides of the keyboard and the mouse to go through menus gets crazy annoying.
Yeah, I gotta admit, development was really slow, we'ld usually only work every third weekend, and we re-made the game's art style three times.
Not much to judge on, but I think this could potentially be a very interesting game. The movement seems a bit slow, and the control keys are mapped a little weird. The only possible glitch I did see was that I ran out of health fighting rats but didn't die.
I'll be waiting to see how this game turns out; good luck.
Death wasn't implemented into the alpha, and we didn't have a running animation so if we made the player any faster it would look very awkward.
We're thinking of adding stamina into the game, sprinting costs stamina but stamina can be replenished by walking/resting and drinking potions.
Thanks for your advice man :)
On the first few i think this game has potential. Please increase the walking speed and the attack spped a little bit, and you could improve the animation of the sword attack by move the sword a little bit while attack.
Please dont forget to implement lots of equipment, including epic equipment that is hard to get (fighting a boss or finding a secret area) and please implement some secrets.
Please continue your good work =)
I agree, the combat is too slow and dull to watch, timing alone doesn't make combat fun. If you've ever played Castle Crashers you can see what good combat in a game looks like, we'll try to make BattleQuest as fun as that.
