Quite monotonous, as is often the case with these games. The fire button is far from useless and you can blast away many meteors if you just keep firing continuously. The big problem is the extreme responsiveness of the ship to the controls, it's very hard to make subtle and slight adjustments to your course. All in all, this is a sub-par version of a concept that has been done to death.
The fire button seems to be kind of useless as it is near impossible to actually hit something. Even when one does manage to hit a monotonous meteor, it doesn't really defend the ship at all.
I found this to just be a mediocre game. It's mostly just the same thing over and over. I admit that it was pretty challenging. It's mostly because there's only a single medal you can win. I was thinking that you might be able to just shoot everything in a straight line and not get hit. You can not do that as that would of course be too easy.
I think there should have been better design with the meteors. They could have been some different colors and shapes. The background could also use more variety. There might have also been some music. The same sounds with the laser get old after awhile.
I liked the game mostly because of the intro, how it instructed to play and because of the simple controls. But it is not an very good game cause all you need to do is put an stone at the j key and go lunch or something. You could put bigger meteors that took more hits to blow up or separate into smaller ones, faster and slower meteors, this kind of thing that makes the game much more fun.
