Emils Epacse is a platformer game where you have to use your skills to escape the clutches of the laboratory in which you were created

This is a demo of the full game and can be treated like a beta, all things are subject to change, any bugs will be fixed and complaints and compliments will be noted and will effect development if needed

all sprites and coding in this game were created by me.

the engine this was made on is stencyl http://www.stencyl.com/

the running jump needs some fixing.

Needs some checkpoints, sound effects wouldn't hurt also. Otherwise great 8-bit platformer

I was really turned off by how there was no sound in this. I will admit that the graphics are fairly decent. Another problem I have is that it's a bit hard to get used to. It seemed like you were looking for something that was big and this did fit the bill. You have to pay attention to absolutely everything going on here. I can actually see this becoming better.

I should judge it fairly as it is a demo. Then again, demos are kind of frowned upon on this website. It had a pretty funny title too. You might want to put in a couple of enemies, but then again, it is pretty hard on its own. I like how the liquids move.

jozzarozzer responds:

Yeah the sound and music is something i will be working on closer to the end of development and there are a couple of enemies in the fourth level (the first grass level)

I like the concept. Found a small bug though. You can run towards right (press x) and jump (press z) at the same time. But I was unable to do the same for left. I could ofc release x before pressing Z but this made it more of a timing issue and a workaround for faulty mechanics. Which made it sort of hard to make the long gap as well.

jozzarozzer responds:

that seems to be a problem on your end, left run and jump works perfectly for me
