Perfect sound choice in my eyes (or... ears, to be correct) and an interesting storyline, though it is a tad bit emo, but not too much.
Since this is obviously one part of a longer story, I would like to see a prequel (what or who is this heartless demon? why is he chasing the boy?) and also a sequel (why is the girl saving the boy? Where does she bring him to? what will happen next?) .

A bit choppy, but like you said, your getting better. Maybe you should try to expand your plot an add in like, a prologue in the beginning. You get a 3.5/5, or a 7/10. Good show.
Very good. I loved the music, and the action went along with it very well. The selective use of color to set tone was a nice touch. Bravo.
