After ACTA (Trailer)

(Note: I am not associated with Anonymous in any way, but I do agree with their cause, so I included them in the animation. ...well kind of included them...)

I am not currently fond of the agreement known as ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement). I have done my research, and know of the possible actions to come from this. I started this project to promote Anti-ACTA and had found some items online. Sadly Laziness took over, and it turned into a trailer.

Anyways, I know that EU has to run through parliament before the agreement is agreed upon. So make it known there that you do not want this. In the USA, petitions have been created to stop this madness. I found one that had over 40,000 signatures, but we cant stop there. Another one is coming short from it's goal. It has only 6,000 signatures out from 25,000. This petition states that the senate should decide whether we agree to this agreement or not. Sadly the petition with 40,000 signers has a flaw. It asks that this agreement be stopped, but the USA has little say in the matter. So, having the senate decide what should happen to ACTA in the USA sounds like a good option right now. The petition link can be found below. Sign it and let your country know that ACTA is a bad idea, and that We the people of the United States of America will not let this go through OUR government!

Also, I must give credit to "ThePal" for voice acting the last part of the flash which cut out on him and I am sorry for that... I don't have him as a flash buddy currently, but this flash isn't making money. So. now worries there. :P

stop acta in europe

The giant textblock in the beginning was hard to read, mostly because it went away to fast. Like others already said, one couldn't understand what the guy was sayin', unbalanced text/animation relation, blablubb.
But I agree with the message and literally EVERYTIME I think of ACTA/SOPA/PIPA, I think of Metternich, the STASI, the KGB, and Mirror's Edge... <- hmm, why THAT one? o_Ã"' Well, if that's our future, we're gonna start running, right?

GamekrazzyProduction responds:

lol, yes. Look. Im going to say the same for you as I have said for others. I was pressed on time and wanted it done. I am sorry it did not come out that good, but maybe... if the movie were to get finished, it would come out alot better. Anyways, Thanks for your guys' thoughts on this.

Sorry, pal, but I don't rate based on whether I agree with an artist. This was barely an animation, and tons of text. The enormous block of text in the very beginning was not up long enough for me to read it. The kid on webcam was voiced too quietly. The rest of the entire film was just text. Finally, I for one am not a fan of what little art there was. By the way, that wasn't a preview, it was a political commercial.

GamekrazzyProduction responds:

It's considered a preview if I plan on continuing it. And I am sorry about the audio. Once I get better recording equipment maybe you'd be happy then. I am not too pleased with how this came out, but I was pressed on time and wanted it finished. Getting the message out was far more important then the quality. I am sorry I couldn't make a better animation for you.

I do agree with anti-ACTA stuff, but it wouldn't be fair to rate your flash super high just cause it's against ACTA, would it? Let's review it based on its merits.

I liked the art style in the beginning. The audio was way too quiet though. I didn't catch a word that guy said. After that it was mostly text except another appearance by the character I saw before (now with facial hair) revealed that what I thought was a kid in his early teens must have been older than he appeared to me. This changed my opinion of the art style a little, since the age of the character you were drawing didn't come across as clearly as I had thought that it did. Then there was more text promising... I dunno what exactly Anonymous was promising. More flashes? More petitions? Your author comments say you're not affiliated with them, which raises so so many more questions. This was overall rather confusing and didn't have much plot or entertainment value aside from "hey guys, I don't like ACTA", which isn't enough to justify a real great score.

GamekrazzyProduction responds:

I was pressed for time my friend. Trying to push things together when in a rush kinda makes you miss some things. I agree that it doesn't deserve a high score just because it is against ACTA, but I also had to get the message out. If you didn't notice, the petition I put with the description ends on the 22nd. I also don't understand what you mean about the aging thing. It's possible to have facial hair in your teens...

ACTA is not for internet! ACTA is only for cars, food, clothes or medicines! We won't give up! This movie shows that we're free people :) Thank you :)

GamekrazzyProduction responds:

You bet that we are free people! Woot! Anyways, let me state that you are wrong to say it is not for internet. In fact it affects the internet greatly (Transverse of paid information, or items like music or art is counterfeit). But it does affect outside the internet as well. It's just that with SOPA and PIPA, the freedom of the internet seems to be where the focus is.
