This is my first flash movie. I wanted to go with a sad theme and this is the result I got. My drawing skills are still in development, lol but I'm quite pleased with my stick men. Any comments on how to improve would be appreciated. I enjoyed making this flash movie and going to make some more:).

I'll score you highly since this is VERY impressive for a first attempt, it flowed well as a story, the animation side of it was good, and it was drawn with some skill. I think you'd be doing yourself a massive disservice if you didn't make more animations :)
Good start
Beautiful. I liked the transformation scene very much, with the man growing older and joining the army. The art style was extremely rudimentary and crude but i guess that wasn't the focus.. The colours are all a bit washed and murky but at least you didn't commit the most common of beginners sins, the gradient. You had some nice some nice camera work but a few more pans could have given the piece an even more cinematic feel. All in all i think you're off to a good start, and with time i'm sure you can make something great.
