So, I finally got around to learning Flash, but I couldn't do it without some form of online course. This is my submission for the final assignment of that course, taken at Gotland University, Sweden, where I also study Computer Graphics and Animation.
I am happy with the result, as it matches my vision. However, the animation could've been better, but I cut myself some slack, since it *is* my very first animated short, Flash or otherwise.
I went for a monochrome colorscheme to relate to air and water, and to capture a kind of childish, innocent or dreamlike quality, which goes well with the style that is sort-of intentionally crudely drawn.

awesome artwork, simple and crude yet it works well with this style. the camera work is great. the ending seems a little wierd though, who knew there was a fish, i think you could have just ended it with him being eaten and it would have been funnier.

I understand why you used a style like this for your flash and I support your idea, it was a good choice. The nice but simple style fits very well to it. The fact that this is your first flash makes it even better.
And I didn't expect that I will laugh at the end. All in all you had a nice idea and the creation was well executed. Good luck with future projects!
