I've been working on this flash for 6 months ever since I first watched Rango. Yet it has simple animation. Between those months, I was also working on another animation but it was not for Newgrounds, it was for Malaysia's MSC Competition.
I'm getting into the habit of redrawing every frame by frame. Someting traditional animation has in common. I might use that for my other flashes.
I usually like to rate my flashes E unless I get into the blood business. In order to keep that rating and to make sure Rango fans are not too offended, Rango's suicidal is off camera, similar to Mortal Kombat vs DC universe where the Joker and Deathstroke's victims were off camera in the US (I live in the uk and I have the uncensored version however)
The horse galloping was rotoscoped from the Wikipedia animated horse. Basically because I have no idea how to draw an actual running horse.
Dile is not dead, he will return and the organiser is NOT Marvin the Martian.
Wonderful visual gags
Even without words, this was entertaining and held my attention. The horse running away, the characters dying when the wheel landed on them and million dollar penguin (MDP) were all funny
and to the reviewer below me, the medusa head fits into the genre of greek mythology just as the golden snot man-bull(minotaur) fits in. I thought it was one of the best deaths
The reason why I look before I BLAM
This is a perfect example. You told the story well (without words). The characters...HAD CHARACTER !!! Funny story and odd deaths that made you wonder. I still don't get the Medusa head thing ...but maybe you were running out of ways to kill the players. ;) I thought the sound effect were well chosen and timed for the most part. Good work, keep going and you'll look back on this as a founding father of your ultimate skills to come. :)
