Huh. Another reason to fear clowns... I think their sheepish grin, big eyes and white face-paint acts as a disguise to hide their true motives... WORLD DOMINATION!
As for the flash, this is really good stuff for a 1st-timer, you definetly got potencial .I do not see any immediate drawbacks, and you included a sense of humour. So it's a 10 from me.

Just creepy.
Great work though, only thing that could make it better is if at the end, the clown rawring, if you flushed that image out more and made it look more polished.
