I designed and programmed the MMORPG in this preview. It is flash based, so it can be played in the browser. Sorry for the low-quality video, CamStudio is not good with gradients.

interesting

needs to be improved, but has potential keep us posted on the progress

Doesn't show much of anything new

The graphics are very basic, and I can't see anything that I haven't seen before with this =P Maybe show some more interesting features, or when the game is more developed. As it is, it looks too basic to really appeal much right now.

could do better in rpg maker

it looks terrible it needs more exploins
+ hats and cats

Cool idea; bad visuals

Looks like a cool idea, especially for a homemade flash game, but the visuals and design are very lacking. Level design is about filling those large open areas with something interesting. So much copy/paste makes it very boring.

The walk animation of your character looks like it's just two sprites and he just glides around. Needs a lot more work to look fluid. Try looking up some tutorials on sprite animation.

The text is hard to read, particularly the red name clashing on the green background. Making it thicker/larger would make it easier to read, possibly with a color that doesn't clash as much as that red.

Also, if you're gonna camstudio, at least do it with your cursor off the window.

xtmx responds:

Thank you for your suggestions. The later levels show a clear progression in my ability to do level design, especially the wolf den IMO. The people sprites were taken from a Japanese freebies site, although I suppose they could use an update. Everything else was custom.

The text looks better in some areas of the world than others, although I could try to find a happy medium. I wasn't thinking about the cursor thing, I'll try to remember that.
