I am pretty sure you are reading to much into it... I mean seriously man! how do u get and i quote
"YAAM? stuggles through what might as well be the planes of Hell to reach his goal, just to see his untimely demise (that theme is one of the many exploring throughout the animation, and one that flew over the heads of many a viewer)."
From a hopping potato!?!?
Absolutely Beautiful
I'll be honest, from the reviews I read I didn't think I would like this submission very much. However, after reluctantly clicking "play", I knew I had stumbled upon the pinnacle of American cinema. In this touching tale of woe, the protagonist YAAM? stuggles through what might as well be the planes of Hell to reach his goal, just to see his untimely demise (that theme is one of the many explored throughout the animation, and one that flew over the heads of many a viewer). However, the antagonist (which I am assuming is the music) could not keep YAAM? from achieving his goal, regardless of whether the music coming from the walls drove him to the brink of insanity and caused him to enter a realm of such inhumanity from which he could not escape. Your skills as an animator are almost as great as your skills as a storyteller. The ending left me a little perplexed, but clearly its interpretation is left to the viewer to find out. It's a thriller that rivals works like Fight Club and Inception and is in short, phenomonal work.
hahahaha
