Robot Climb

This was a little game I made to try out some walljumping ideas and to make a purely highscore-based interesting bit of gameplay. I hope you like the game; all of the content, from graphics to sounds to programming to music, are all my own.

I love all of time's other games to death, but I just can't get into this game. It should be really addictive and fun, but instead it just comes out to have weird controls, and the music, get's so sickening after a little bit of play!! It's the just the same thing over and over again. It's not bad music, it just has to be longer. Didn't really like this one that much. Sorry.

Quirky and addictive

Pros: Solid, simple mechanic, addictive gameplay, challenging but not frustratingly impossible. Fantastic music. Easy on the eye.

Cons: It can feel a little arbitrary when the level prevents you from climbing, or a spike is positioned in such a way that it makes it impossible to climb.

Overall: Great fun, could easily spend more time than is healthy playing this, I think the 'pure' highscore mechanic suits the game perfectly, although I don't think there'd be the same drive to play if there weren't a leaderboard. Does what it says on the tin, really. The explosion ability is a bit redundent, I think the next step for this game would be making the blocks and fish destroyable with the explosion, and have a points value on that, would give the game a whole new level of depth without too much changing.

Too random

This game is too luck-based and too hard to play. The wall jump is too low compared to the height of one block or the normal jump height. It hardly does anything. Since the basic idea and the concept of the explosion caused by pressing space are okay, I'll give it a 3/10. Still, as of now, it's not really playable.

super addicting and fun
