READ THIS FIRST - A BIT OF CONTEXT AS TO WHAT THIS FLASH ANIMATION IS

I made this as part of the Direct Marketing Challenge 2010, a national competition (I'm from the UK) to create the best marketing campaign (direct marketing is simply a form of marketing which is intended to be more directly aimed at potential customers/consumers) for a charity of our choice. I was with a group of people doing this at my school. Oxfam was our chosen charity. I decided to make a sixty-second TV advert to be included as part of the campaign. If we won the competition, this advert could have gotten shown on TV (though I expect it would have been edited quite a lot, possibly with the voiceovers changed and the animation redone). I believe that we came close to winning the competition, and the people who saw the advert that I had made thought it was impressive. Hence why, a year later, I've decided to submit the advert to Newgrounds.

Just a couple of things to point out. Firstly, apologies for the fairly low quality of the sound - I couldn't make it any higher quality without ruining the synchronization of the audio with the animation. Secondly, some people might find a couple of photographs of poverty that have been included towards the end of the advert to be distressing.

I finished the advert at around the time of my fifteenth birthday. My parents provided the voiceovers and did a very good job with them. This is the first thing I've submitted to Newgrounds in about two years, as I have not done much animation recently due to commitments with my schoolwork. If you like this advert, you may want to see my twenty-minute-long movie 'Dr Ratty', which was submitted on Newgrounds in four parts in early 2009.

It's been a couple of years, but Caltoons is back on Newgrounds, and back in style!

Well thought out

I like it how you create a contrast between the inconveniences people face in modern day life and the serious life threatening problems in third world countries.

There's are so many things we take for granted in western society.
In the midst of our busy and hectic schedules, we can often forget to stop and think about those below the poverty line who are really doing it tough.

preetty goood

Someone in the street told me a joke like this, had all the qualities needed to be funny. Torture death and rape, but i didnt get the punch line, something about £3 a month?

Too bad this Advert Hasn't been actually brodcast

What I just said in the title.
