Memories.. miss ya HH 😕
This thing is 16 minutes long.
Oh yea, and it's like, realy good.
Memories.. miss ya HH 😕
I admit that when I first saw the beginning, it didn't look all that good. It definitely got better the more it went on. While the animation isn't great, it has lot of great action and music! I appreciate how the stick figures were animated different. I just appreciated this hole thing. I don't think I've ever seen that before!
All the stick figures and never ones like that! I thought the story would be about those two guys at the beginning. I'm glad of glad it wasn't. That would have been boring. Even the title is pretty cool.
Holy shit. I'd forgotten a lot about this animation. Seeing it again I only now see how impressive this was for its time, and how impressive it still is today. The simplistic art style is at points intentional, I think, given the rough brushstrokes and lack of smooth edges, and it sometimes gave this a very artsy look while at other times coming across as being comically bad. The sound effects and soundtrack are really well-picked, and not nearly as redundant as most animations of this era. Moreover, you have a great mix of comedy and action, and it's impressively long as well.
Finally I want to give special credit to all the effects in this animation. Stuff like the masking as it appeared in the credits gave this a sense of polish, while slight instances of fullbody animation, slow-motion, and perspective were wonderful. Overall I did feel as if this animation was lacking smoothness in general movements and particles such as blood, but this paled in comparison to the overarching animation here. This does a really incredible job of straddling the old-school Newgrounds animation style and professionally filmmaking.
Absolutely amazing. I've probably watched this atleast 20 times over the years, I remember stumbling across it when I was really young (probably about 7), and loved it ever since. I can't even fathum how long this took to make. Forever my favorite stick move :).
Best stick movie i've ever seen!
Nice work!
