Animation good, Message off
Let me start off by saying that the movie was well done and the graphics were good as well. However, since you made a film with a message, I feel like I should convey my opinion on the matter. Without a doubt, the bombing of Hiroshima was an awful event, as was the later bombing of Nagasaki. It seems to me though, that the bigger picture is being forgotten here. The mentality of the Japanese military, and of citizens of Japan, at the time of WW II was that they were lead by not just an emperor, but a god. Therefore, they were prepared to fight to the last man to defend their nation and their emperor. Which leads me to the point that the use of the atomic bomb seemed almost inevitable. How many lives, Japanese and American, would have been lost if a full-scale invasion of Japan were used instead of the bombs? Also, after witnessing the immense power of the atom bomb, Japan did not immediately surrender. As I said before, it took a second bomb to finally convince Japan that it was in their best interest to surrender to the U.S. I think if you are going to have such a message in your movie, you should do a little more to put it into context.
