RocketJump is a challenging retro platformer that involves rocket jumping through obstacles to reach the end of the game. As the game gets harder, your timing, precision, and puzzle-solving abilities will be tested.

The game will save your progress at checkpoints. All controls and instructions are given throughout the game.

This is my first published game, I hope you like it! Please let me know what you think of it. I appreciate every rating and review, and will read them all.

Fun while it lasted

it took me a while to beat it and i enjoyed it although somethings bugged me
the background was dull(even though its related to the story) and the missiles should be way WAY more fast than they are.
short but sweet i hope to see the sequel soon but with a background more related to tf2 and maybe make the soldier meet other characters like pyro etc..
you also should add more obstacules like in midle jumps theres glass you gotta break or the gravety changes the spikes get kinda old fast anyway hope to see the sequel.

PS:watching soldier getting all torn apart over and over again never gets old 248 deaths lol

bitwrit responds:

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Unfortunately, I'm pretty bad at art, I agree that I could have done a lot better with the background. Next time I'll try to get an artist to collaborate with me.

Can be annoying.

This is a fairly nice game, with an original gameplay, a good soundtrack and good graphics.
Still, I found some annoying bugs.
First of all, the bug i found occurs often when you die. I die, and when the charachter respawns at the checkpoint,it jumps even if I didn't press nothing and most of the times dies.
Secondly, controls are a bit too "slippery", too sensitive, and sometimes this issue causes undesired deaths.
If you correct these bugs, this will really be a great game.
Keep it up ;)

Thanks for the review!

I believe the only time your character will move right after respawning is when there is an explosion within range of your checkpoint. I'll look into this.

I'll also look into the controls, thanks a lot for the feedback.

Nicely done

Well made, and it does get more complicated the further you go. Very nicely done.
