has potential

well i can say i genuinely enjoyed this game a bit add a jump duration and fiddle with the controls a bit gets some different backgrounds and this couldturn in to a great game keep at it :)

physics need improvement

pretty much all that bugged me was the physics of the game he either jumped higher in one spot than another and same with movements and sometimes if he was on the edge of a brick but enough room to have a foot on he would just slide off other than that this game has potential to be a pretty fun game

Utterly broken

Ok, constructive criticism only.

Number 1 : Fix the controls. They're rubbish. Half the time, I can't be moving to the right or left when I hit the jump button, otherwise precisely nothing happens, and I just keep on truckin' until I fall of the screen or into some spikes.
Other than the jump button being completely unresponsive half the time, the rest of the controls make my little guy move just a 'little' too fast. He can go from one side of the screen to the other in less than 2 seconds. It's like the fast forward button was pressed down and then glued in place. I only barely made it to the end thanks to these controls.

Number 2 : Fix the sprites. Seriously, I really think you can only see half of any of the sprites, with the other half being invisible. Which means that I take damage whilst nowhere near the spikes, or I float for a moment in the air after I walk off the edge off a block, or I hit my head on that same, unseen segment of sprite. Very annoying. Very distracting. Oh yes, and please, please, PLEASE change the sprites to something a bit less generic? I mean other than the orbs, of course. Because I swear I've seen these before, dozens of times. And I don't like bright flourescent red.

Number 3 : Fix the gameplay. Well, saying 'fix' it is a bit harsh. I know the gameplay and concept is sound, because OTHER games managed to pull it off without seeming so... broken.

Number 4 : Add a plotline. Ok, we're entering suggestion territory now. Yes, it has the words 'CONGRADURATION THIS STORY IS HAPPY END' after you finish the game (work on your English skills), but that doesn't count as a story.

Number 5 : MAKE IT LONGER. It was, what, 5-6 levels long?

Well, it definitely had good music (compared to the rest of it which, lets be honest, sucked). *WARNING - NEXT SENTENCE CONTAINS HIGH QUANTITIES OF SARCASM* Now you know why I think so highly of your game! All in all:

Controls: 1/10
Graphics: 1/10
Gameplay: 1/10
Music: 3/10
Story: Non-existent

Overall: 2/10 1/5

THEKRAIDSTER responds:

the entire CONGRADURATION THIS STORY IS HAPPY END was referencing the NES game Ghosts 'n Goblins.

Not too good.

First of all, this game wasn't nearly as challenging as it could have been, should you have added more obstacles or a timer, or both. Secondly, the little ghost-like creatures really gave me the feeling that you were ripping off of Mario games, and then right after the little ghost-creatures made their first appearance, there was a half-water level, which also strongly reminded me of Mario. Another thing you could do to make this better is to add a storyline.

THEKRAIDSTER responds:

I didn't really know I was ripping off Mario. The ghostlike creatures are Sk'lls, by the way. They are the souls of adventurers who died looking for the treasure.

it's good

I like the game
