Jumping does not always work, you should correct the controls. Remove the bugs and add polish.

This is a game I made in less than a few days while being rushed right before a competition (that somehow we got in 3rd) between brand new, "self-trained," high school programmers like myself. This probably won't be the last game I make because I'm learning (or at least trying to get started learning) how to make better games. Nutritious Adventure isn't much of a game but why just keep it on my computer? Everything about the game relating to nutrition was a lame rule by the competition.

If you wonder in the beginning if something is wrong because you don't hear anything, its because I only have two whole sounds. If I ever improve this game, which I am considering, thats when I will add lots and lots of sounds with lots and lots of other things. :P
Collect food for points. You need 3000 points at the end to win.
Falling in lava kills you and deducts points so don't do that. :D
Controls:
-arrow keys to move
-up arrow/ space bar to jump (jumping might be kind of annoying
because I'm not exactly sure how to program that. If you know,
TELL ME! Trial & Error can only get me so far.)
Um... it could have been better.
The jump only worked half of the time. I liked the concept and the graphics would have been more than acceptable if the game were more enjoyable..
It's okay
The graphics and animation were so-so
Controls were somewhat non-responsive and buggy
The "OM-NOM-NOM" playing constantly can take a toll on your ears, making you have to mute
So the game is pretty simple, and I like simplicity. Much like I love the game "Limbo" (Xbox Live Acrade)(not that i'm comparing this game to it)
So yeah over all the game wasn't really bad, too bad you were forced to make it about nutrition :3. Perhaps if you aren't restricted to a game about one thing, then maybe you could make something cooler without any boundaries!
Well, it's cute...
It could definately use more sounds, truth be told, I expected more than speech for sound effects.
The controls were the worst part to me. While simple, and an okay idea, I found I couldn't jump most of the time. This made it difficult to reach some of the food, or avoid lava.
However, I enjoyed the artwork. It was simple, and not hard on the eyes.
Keep practicing, this entry shows promise.
