Needs to be harder.
This game was quite addicting I must say. The music is lovely and soothing, and the concept is great. But more levels, varied balloons, and generally a more difficult setting is something that I desired. For instance, did you ever consider making a balloon that took several clicks or seconds to pop?
This game is lackluster.
An easy game to pick up and play. Even from the last levels. There is little in the appeal of actually popping the balloons, all you'll get is a simple "POP" and a short sound effect. With the introduction of a consequence made after halfway (yes, AFTER) through the whole game, it offers little in the way of a challenge. Even with this consequence, popping the wrong balloon makes the same "POP" and sound effect as a normal balloon, but it also counts as one towards your goal for that level. It does take away a life, but really, if you're not supposed to do that, it should not reward you in addition to hurting you.
I do like simplicity in games, but this is a little too simple. The informational interface in-game is larger than it needs to be (as shown by almost 1/2 of it being empty), and it along with the gameplay area has virtually no visual appeal. Because there's little to draw interest to come back, I found it tedious when I needed to pop more than 20 balloons. My mouse was at the bottom of the screen until level 6/7, showing the simplicity of gameplay late in the game (D:). There is an upgrade shop (though I missed it during my first playthrough), but there's only one thing in it. One full playthrough is all that's needed to get it, and all it does is make your mouse only touch the balloon to pop it, and no consequence for popping black balloons. That's it. If the game was a bit more challenging, this item could be useful and maybe worth it, but that's not present here.
An upside to the game is the music. Ignoring the lack of the all-important mute feature found in many games. The author should really put this into their games, not everyone may want to hear music and/or sound effects when playing.
Pros:
Music
Simple game
Cons:
Needs more challenges and visual appeal to draw people into wanting to play
Didn't realize there was an upgrade shop nor realized there were badges
This game, as it was presented here as of now, is incomplete. A little bit more effort needs to be put into making it, in my personal opinion. There's already things there that could make it an enjoyable game, such as achievements (badges) and an upgrade to purchase, but the lack of a decent challenge makes them unrewarding. This could be suitable as a demonstration of programming skills, but it's poor as a game. 2/10
Too simple
Not very Interesting, to easy. Poping the black ballons has no effect (counts as a regular)
Needs a faster Evolution (increase in hardness). Try taking out about half of these levels and add new ones that are harder, like mixed speed Ballons or only hitting one color.
I WAS GONNA GIVE A 10
But on Level 8 when I needed 100 more baloons to pop
they stopped coming
