My third attempt at flash, and a bit easier than my last project, and a bit more fun.
I tried to keep the file size down and did pretty good until the end. Sorry for those with slower modems.
I hope I get a warmer reception with this one than my last. Have fun.
abrupt ending with no point, really
not bad, i love nostalgia, and you have plenty of that going by appropriating all the graphics and music, but as far as story/plot, it is pretty much nonexistent beyond anything superficial. as in it seems like you just wanted to make a movie, period, thought out all the graphics and sound well, and then just threw a story together as an afterthought...i mean think about it, what makes us love all those old games and graphics so much to this day, such as zelda or especially final fantasy? of course! its the engaging story that holds it all together! great potential, you may be on the cusp of something really good...i look forward to seeing more :)
Needs polish
The animation's a bit rough. I'd give the tweens a bit more time to play out - Mario practically warps across the screen in the beginning - and move the characters around in a more graceful manner. For instance, instead of having Lucca disappear with a "Poof", you could have had her disappear through a time gate.
Your size problem is because you're changing music way too often. If you're going to use small portions of many clips, find out how much of the song you're going to actually play (this should be easy if you streamed it), trim it with a sound editor, then reimport it.

nice graphics .. but man that was a long wait for the file size.. maybe bring it down or cut the music abit.. but overall great movie...
