Could've been better
The idea had merit, but this game suffers from what I call "bad-control syndrome." It's not a hard game, the controls just suck. If that's what you were going for, then I suggest finding a new hobby besides making games.
Losing a game because it was difficult is one thing, losing because the creator didn't take the time to make good controls is completely different.
Yes, some games are hard because the controls are wonky, but most of those games realize that and make it the whole selling point of the game.
Also, infinite lives is good, but a start system in which holding the wrong button down at the start of the level sky-rockets the death-counter isn't. If you want to focus on bad controls instead of inivatie ones, be my guest, but for all our sakes, make sure that you compensate for them somehow.
