Million Dollar Tower Defense - fund/capital raising taken to a new level. Play the game, buy some Sprites, and help make the world better!

Learn more about this fund/capital raiser at http://www.milliondollart owerdefense.com/about.php and see how my previous project can save the US health care system $263 million annually! Help me and others start more high-impact projects and don't forget to follow this on Facebook and Twitter.

Lots of cool tower technologies, super weapons, non-linear gameplay, and an EPIC final boss (more to come as Sprites are bought too) make this a must play!

Million Dollar TD is an awesome and unique game in which people can buy and "own" the character sprites in the game. As a Sprite "owner", you can choose an image and associated link which will appear in the game as a character and on the official website. As the game spreads, your stuff spreads with it, potentially being seen by millions of eyeballs on the internets!

Only 12,000 Sprites are available among all of the game levels. Buy as many as you want but once they're gone, they're gone. So make sure you reserve your Sprites as soon as possible!

Build towers, kill creep, research technologies and kill creep faster. Most towers use power so watch your power meter. Build up a war chest and max out your tower techs to take out the evil CORE boss!

Use mouse for controls. In-game Tutorial and Hotkeys also available.

Tips:
-----------------
1. Upgrading towers is more cost-effective than building a lot of towers but make sure you have the necessary power to support the upgraded towers.

2. For the Tech 1 towers, they are generally pretty weak until you upgrade them to level 2 or 3 - then you can do some serious damage with them. Once you get Tech 2 towers, they start packing some damage.

3. OPTICAL towers can chain their attacks together to deal more damage and with a longer effective range.

4. The teleporting creep travel various distances but they all do so within a certain range. They otherwise follow the same path a regular ground creep would follow.

5. The game auto-saves after each successful mission. If you lose on a mission, the game automatically restores to before the failed mission so you can try again or go try another mission in a different campaign to get more money.

6. EXPLOSIVE towers are your friend in the beginning.

7. Having trouble with flying creep? Autocannons (esp., level 2 or 3) are quite effective or you can use OPTICAL towers.

8. You can click each Sprite once, up to 10 different ones in a mission. If a bunch of Sprites make up a bigger logo, you can click different Sprites in the logo to get bonuses up to the limit.

pretty good

really interesting concept with the generators. really reminds me of RTS gamez. i've only played a few levels so far but i'll play more later, i think it autosaves. i noticed upgrading towers earlier is way better than building lots and lots of towerz.

good with a few problems

You say to check back for updates, and to revisit old levels, but I can't find a way to actually do that, short of restarting the whole game. theirs no save feature to save after I "ace" a level.

Other TD games let you go back and re-do a level, you keep the highest score to add to your money/exp... whatever the game uses. I think the way the money system works is flawed in this game. If your towers are destroyed you can lose a ton of money and then be unable to continue on other levels.

if each level had a set start amount, then it adds the bonus from prior levels, it would make a lot more sense.

I like the implantation of the sprites, it's not intrusive and actually adds to the game a bit. I have to click 4 times to get the bonus in full though, the 3rd click does nothing, the 4th adds the 3rd bonus.

I also like how you can both level and upgrade a tower from lower tech levels, that's new to me.

I give you a 4 because of the money system, the inability to go back to levels, and the dead end scenario.

Perhaps it wasn't explained clearly but updates/upgrades to the game will happen when a certain number of Sprites are bought in real life. This is a fundraiser afterall!

I appreciate your feedback - I changed it so that you can replay previously completed levels in case you prefer to grind a bit before retrying a mission. The original thinking was that you would play another mission in another campaign to get more money but I can see how you could potentially keep losing money. Also, had to change the %interest bonus to be based on time not just waves or else you could get virtually unlimited money really fast!

Great game...

If you are having trouble getting started try these tips..
1. research Projectiles and generators to max first. *thats all you will need for most of the game.
2. play the first level over till you kill all the creeps and get some bonuses for fast time/clicking sprites/no tower losses etc. The extra cash helps out early.
3. Save after you *ace* each map, then continue. Try to end the level with cash on hand, so you can set all your towers next map.
4. buy the upgrades for +cash/kill early on so you get more money through out the rest of the game.

5. remember to check back for updates to the sprite count. clicking sprites during the game will add cash to your bonus. i think each sprite can be clicked 3 times in the round.

great but needs tweeking

when you get to "level 2" its hard to get the ones who "teleport" to places. there seems to be no way of telling where they will hit within range.
tips are nice. after all, i am the first to post on this game.

Just put up some tips up in the description - there is a tip on the teleporting creep too.
